ARTIST TRUONG THI THINH

She was born in 1928 in Hue

Graduated from the first class of National fine art college of Saigon 

She was the Profesor òf Painting at Petrus Ky High School - Saigon

Truong Thi Thinh was directed by the painter Le Van De and is the wife of the painter Nguyen Tri Minh

From 1964 - 1980 , she taught at Gia Dinh fine arts College 

Her paintings have an impressive and lỷical style , ưith a special talent for landscape and pỏtraits

During the 1960's and 1970's , many famous people from Asian countries and Europe came to her to paint their portraits 

In 1986 , She moved to the US to settle down with her family 

In 2002 , She was recognized as an artist who donated 50 years to the art of painting by Congresswoman Hellen Alquist on behalf of the Gorvernor of California .

Her works have bên collected by HCM Fine Arts Museum

From 1965 - 1975 : Exhibition in Australia , France , Japan , Taiwan , Brazil , USA and Solo exhibition in Hue , Saigon , Hanoi 

1991 : Exhibition with Huong Alaska . Tran Manh Ai at Capital Hill , Washington DC

1993 : Solo exhibition with the theme "Where am I" , "Who am I" at WOrks San Jose 

1995-1996-1997 “An Ocean Apart” Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition

2001 : Solo exhibition "Streams of Thought"at La Galeria Mexican Heritage Plaza , California 

2003 : Exhibition "Grateful to Teacher Le Van De" at San Jose Radio organized by the VOice of My Country

2004 : 4x4 painting exhibition exhibition , including 4 artists in the US and 4 artists in Vietnam , organized by Fine Arts Association and the Ho Chi Minh Museum Association at Fine Arts Museum in HCM
